Architectural Expression Chesterwood Barn Gallery

Project consisted of designing an addition to a historic barn to provide a visitor center for Chesterwood, the summer home and studio of the sculptor Daniel Chester French, now a museum owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation

Cross Sectional Shape Of The Building Almere Sheep Stable

The detailing of building conrner where it ends and the gable starts, very important to experience of all this building architecture. It emphasises the cross sectional building shape, and finishes the long facade building, that starts as facade and slowly become a roof.
 

 

On the day, there are 3 strategically placed openings, which one is near from the floor level, so people can see inside even while the building is closed. All the vertical walls in an office are stable and clad by beech plywood.
